How to Play Quordle
Quordle takes the core Wordle format and multiplies it by four: you're solving four separate five-letter words at the same time, using a shared pool of guesses.
It sounds overwhelming at first, but the rules are a direct extension of Wordle's colour-feedback system — you just have to track four boards instead of one.
Four boards at once
Instead of one grid, you see four grids arranged together, each hiding its own secret five-letter word. Every guess you type is submitted to all four boards simultaneously, and each board gives you its own independent colour feedback for that same guessed word.
Nine guesses total
You get nine guesses to solve all four words — not nine guesses per board. Once a board's word is solved, that board is done and your remaining guesses continue to apply to the boards still in progress. This means the words you finish first give you extra thinking room for the harder boards later.
Daily vs Practice mode
Like Wordle, Quordle usually offers a Daily puzzle that everyone plays on the same day, plus a Practice mode that generates a fresh, unlimited set of four random puzzles any time you want to play without affecting a daily streak.
Reading four grids at once
The practical challenge of Quordle is tracking four sets of green, yellow and grey letters in your head simultaneously. Many players find it helpful to solve the boards that are closest to completion first, then use remaining guesses to fish for information on the boards with the least confirmed letters.
Because every guess counts against all four boards, a strong early guess that reveals unique letters is more valuable in Quordle than in single-board Wordle — it effectively gives you four boards' worth of information for one guess.
