How WordCue helps you win more word games

A word finder is only useful if it is faster than your own brain. WordCue loads a 350,000 word English dictionary directly into your browser and indexes it by length and letter signature, so unscrambling a seven-tile Scrabble rack or narrowing 12,000 five-letter Wordle candidates happens in milliseconds — no network round-trip, no waiting, no spinner.

Use the Word Unscrambler to turn any jumble of letters into every legal word, filtered by minimum length, prefix, suffix or excluded letters. Switch to the Pattern Finder when you already know some positions, using ? for a single unknown letter and * for any run of letters. Crossword solvers, hangman players and Boggle fans all rely on the same engine.

For Wordle, Quordle, Dordle and Octordle, mark your greens, yellows and greys and WordCue filters the answer pool with exact duplicate-letter logic — the detail most solvers get wrong. Each remaining candidate is then ranked by how much of the answer space it eliminates, so your next guess does the most work.

Scrabble and Words With Friends players get score-aware results: every word is tagged with its tile value using the correct value table for the game you are playing, plus dedicated references for tile distribution, two and three letter words, Q-without-U words and high scoring plays.
